With iPhone 7, Apple offered its buyers a range of colors options to choose from including a (PRODUCT) RED option. However, this might not be the case with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 smartphone.
A recent rumor suggested that Apple’s upcoming iPhone model (and may be even the ‘s’ upgrade variants of iPhone 7/Plus) may launch in three color options only: Black, Gold, and Silver. After than rumor, a color that is either being called “Champagne Gold” or “Copper Gold” has made its way into the wild, hinting at a tweaked gold color option for the iPhone 8.
Thanks to Benjamin Geskin and Ben Miller, for giving us something to stare at until the company officially unveils the iPhone 8. They have shared pre-release images of the tweaked gold option. Geskin has shared a pair of photos through his Twitter handle. The first photo in the pair shows the front-and-back render of the device. The front end of the device gives us a good look at the rumored edge-to-edge display, minimal bezels, and the “notch” design.
On the back side, there is much-rumored vertically aligned dual-camera setup, and the familiar Apple logo. The second image shared by Geskin resembles to Apple’sofficial promotional material.
On the other hand, Ben Miller (@bensen) shares an alleged dummy unit of the iPhone 8 in Copper Gold and it has the same shiny looks of the renders. The difference between the dummy unit and the renders, though, is that the dummy unit has a white notch design while the renders have a black front. This simple color change makes the devices look quite a bit different. The dummy unit is also placed next to a current iPhone 7 Plus and the minimal bezel is pretty evident from this comparison.
We have seen this notch display quite a few times in leaks and rumors and thanks to the code found inside HomePod firmware, we can expect it to be a final design for the upcoming iPhone 8.
What do you think of this design for Apple’s up coming iPhone 8?
